Recommended Storage Conditions

Guidelines and recommended storage conditions for Johanson manufactured components:

Storage Temperature as Shipped in Original Package:

  • Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCC), Single Layer Capacitors (SLC), and Inductors: +5°C to +40°C with RH 20% to 70%

  • 6 months for palladium silver (Pd/Ag) terminations and silver plating finishes

  • 18 months for all other terminations, plating finishes

  • Antennas and Integrated Passive Components (IPCs): Refer to specific datasheet for pre-assembly (component still inside reels) recommended conditions.

Non-Operating Post Assembly Storage Temperature:

  • Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCC), Single Layer Capacitors (SLC): -65°C to +125°C

  • Inductors: -40°C to 125°C

  • All Integrated Passive Components (IPCs) including Antennas: Datasheet Operating Temperature
